TRACKMILL
HERE'S HOW IT WORKS
On the trackmill the dog needs to make as many runs as possible in a span of 10 minutes. The Trackmill poles should be stood about 40 meters apart with lines or poles placed in the track at the set distance of 30.48 meters which is what the dog should cover per run, a line or pole should also be placed marking the center of the track.
If the dog back tracks to the start line after passing the middle line it will be awarded 1 point. If the dog back tracks less than a meter away from the start / end line it can still be fully awarded if it covers the distance over the next start / end turn. This is to prevent natural dog behavior from human calculation.
During the trackmill run there should be silence, no shouting or screaming in or beside the track is allowed.
Only one attempt is permitted per dog.

HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE
Running is and always has been an essential component in the physical conditioning of bull & terrier type dogs for their original jobs which required a great deal of cardiovascular capacity, muscular endurance and stamina. The Trackmill will actively test these components, as well as the respiratory capability of the dog, and to some degree their mental determination, which starts to show around the 7 minute mark when fatigue typically kicks in.
PUNCTUATION
There is no Max Punctuation in this discipline; the dog can continue to stack points if they exceed their Black Star

EQUIPMENT
The Trackmill consists of two poles with pulleys at the top, and a line with bait running from 1 pulley to the other, when powered by a motor the pulleys will spin, spinning the bait and instigating the dog to run in pursuit.
